Africa resists summary. It’s a continent where the Sahara’s silence gives way to the thundering spray of Victoria Falls; where the call to prayer drifts across Marrakech’s medina at dusk and hippos surface on the Okavango. No two countries feel the same, and no two trips here should either.
Botswana‘s waterways and exclusive delta camps. Kenya‘s Mara and private conservancies. South Africa‘s Cape Town dining scene, Kruger reserves, and Garden Route. Rwanda‘s mountain gorilla encounters. Morocco‘s medinas and Atlas trails. Madagascar‘s one-of-a-kind wildlife. Mozambique‘s undeveloped coastline and barefoot luxury. These seven alone cover an extraordinary range — and with nineteen countries across our collection, they’re just the beginning.
Our Africa travel experts don’t design itineraries from a catalogue. They build every trip around how you want to experience the continent — whether that’s a first-time visit combining Kenya’s wildlife with Zanzibar’s beaches, a deep-dive into Morocco’s culinary traditions, or a multi-country journey from Namibia’s deserts to Botswana’s waterways. Every guide, lodge, and route is chosen because it’s the right fit for you, not because it’s the most obvious.
We work with hand-picked lodges, private guides, and trusted operators across all nineteen countries, so the logistics of combining Africa’s vast distances are handled seamlessly. Our relationships on the ground mean access to the experiences that turn a trip into something unforgettable — whether that’s a private dinner under the Serengeti stars, a behind-the-scenes conservation visit in Rwanda, or a sunset dhow cruise off the Mozambican coast. From a long weekend in Marrakech to a three-week, multi-country odyssey, we handle everything.

Enquire NowAfrica’s cultural depth matches its natural scale. In Morocco, lose yourself in Fes’s medieval medina, trek through the High Atlas to Berber villages, or settle into a riad courtyard in Marrakech with nothing to do but eat extraordinarily well. Egypt draws you from the Nile’s feluccas to the tombs of Luxor, with Cairo’s energy and the Red Sea’s reefs as bookends. Ethiopia‘s rock-hewn churches of Lalibela feel like a secret the rest of the world hasn’t found yet — and its coffee ceremonies, ancient kingdoms, and surreal Danakil Depression make it one of the continent’s most rewarding surprises.
Africa’s coastline is wildly underrated. Thousands of kilometres of Indian Ocean shoreline, a scattering of islands that rival the Maldives and the Caribbean, and a fraction of the crowds.
Mozambique‘s Bazaruto Archipelago is the poster child — pristine reefs, dhow cruises, and barefoot luxury lodges on islands that feel genuinely untouched. Zanzibar‘s spice-laced Stone Town and white-sand eastern beaches make it a natural extension to a Kenya or Tanzania safari. Mauritius pairs reef diving and rum distilleries with some of the best hotel dining in the southern hemisphere. And The Seychelles do things differently again — ancient granite boulders framing coves so perfect they barely look real. Whether it’s a standalone island escape or the wind-down leg of a bigger African journey, our specialists know exactly where to send you.
Africa rewards the longer trip. With nineteen countries across our collection, some of the most memorable itineraries combine two, three, or more destinations — each offering a completely different rhythm.
Classic pairings include Kenya’s Mara with Zanzibar’s coast, Botswana‘s waterways with Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, or South Africa‘s Cape and Kruger followed by Mozambique’s beaches. Longer journeys link bigger contrasts: a Rwanda gorilla trek into Tanzania’s Serengeti, ending on the Mozambican coast. Or Morocco‘s medinas and mountains paired with Egypt‘s Nile.
We handle the route planning, domestic flights, visa requirements, and the dozens of connecting details that make multi-country Africa travel feel effortless rather than exhausting. Your specialist builds each leg to flow naturally, so you spend your time exploring rather than transiting.
North Africa
Between bustling old medinas in Morocco and the ancient pyramids in Egypt, North Africa enchants at every turn. We’ll take you on camel treks with the nomadic Beaudoin through the Sahara, hot air balloon rides high over the Atlas Mountains, arrange a slow-cooked lamb tagine dinner with the locals, and bag you exclusive private access to the iconic Sphinx. These are luxury African holidays with a twist.
Sub Saharan Africa
Our safari tours in Sub-Saharan Africa reveal a different side of this enormous continent. Accompanied by one of our expert local guides, you’ll never be far from an exhilarating wildlife encounter, whether it’s from the seat of a canoe or a helicopter. Think elephants stomping by your camp at sunrise, wildebeest galloping across the Mara River, and spotting colonies of luminous pink flamingos as you blaze across the Makgadikgadi Pans by quadbike.
Safari
Our luxury African safaris can be as laid back or action-packed as you wish. It might be a sunrise 4X4 trip through the Great Rift Valley to witness a pride of lions on the prowl. It might be traversing the jagged limestone rocks of Madagascar’s Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park in search of lemurs. It might be a walk across Zambia’s unimaginably beautiful plains beside a herd of zebra. And all in between stays at our favourite luxury safari lodges.

Africa spans the equator, so there’s no single “best time” — it depends entirely on where you’re going and what you want to do. East Africa’s wildlife migrations peak between July and October, while southern Africa (Botswana, Namibia, South Africa) is best from May to October during the dry season. North Africa — Morocco and Egypt — is most comfortable in spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). Indian Ocean islands like Mauritius and The Seychelles are warm year-round, with drier months from May to November. Our Africa experts will help you choose the right timing for your specific trip, factoring in weather, wildlife activity, and crowd levels across every destination.
Which African country to visit first depends on what draws you to Africa. For a first-time visitor who wants wildlife alongside stunning landscapes, Kenya or Tanzania & Zanzibar offer the most complete introduction — combining world-famous reserves with beautiful Indian Ocean beaches. South Africa is another strong first choice, with well-developed travel infrastructure, Cape Town’s food and wine scene, and excellent private game reserves within easy reach. If culture and history appeal more, Morocco delivers immediately — vibrant medinas, mountain trails, and incredible food from the moment you arrive. We design every first Africa trip around your interests and travel style, so it’s exactly the right introduction for you.
Combining multiple African countries in one trip is one of the most rewarding ways to experience the continent. Popular combinations include Kenya or Tanzania with Zanzibar’s beaches, Botswana with Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls, or South Africa with Mozambique’s coast. We also design longer journeys linking three or four countries: a Rwanda gorilla trek followed by Tanzania’s Serengeti and a wind-down on the Mozambican coast, for example. Domestic flights and private transfers keep multi-country logistics seamless. Our Africa specialists handle all the route planning, visa requirements, and connections so you can focus on the experience rather than the admin.
For a single country, ten days to two weeks is the sweet spot — enough time to see the highlights without feeling rushed. A combination trip (Kenya and Zanzibar, or Botswana and Victoria Falls) benefits from 14–18 days. If you’re covering three or more countries, we’d typically recommend three weeks to do justice to each destination. That said, we also design shorter breaks — a long weekend in Marrakech, a week in Cape Town and the Winelands — for travellers with less time. Your Africa specialist will build the itinerary around your available dates rather than a fixed template.
Luxury Africa holidays typically start from around £5,500 per person for a single-destination trip, rising significantly for multi-country itineraries with premium lodges and private guiding throughout. High-season stays in the most sought-after camps and gorilla trekking permits can increase costs, as can remote fly-in destinations like Botswana’s delta lodges. Every trip we design is priced individually based on your dates, destinations, accommodation preferences, and the experiences you choose. There are no planning fees — just a fully costed, tailor-made itinerary.
