The experience
A 9-day journey linking Qiaojia, Suijiang, Weixin and Zaxi Ancient Town, with time for the places between the headline sights.
Qiaojia lies in the warm Jinsha River valley, with riverside settlement landscapes and views associated with the Baihetan reservoir area.
Suijiang lies along a Jinsha River reservoir landscape, with waterfront settlements and a warmer valley setting below the Wumeng highlands.
Weixin is a Wumeng mountain county whose Zaxi town preserves important Long March historical sites and a traditional settlement setting.
Zaxi in Weixin combines a historic townscape with important Long March meeting sites and memorial interpretation.
Your route: Qiaojia → Suijiang → Zaxi. The final proposal confirms each transfer and overnight base.

Travel details
Getting here and getting around
The sightseeing plan starts in Qiaojia and finishes in Zaxi. Agree your arrival station, airport or hotel before booking; these meeting points are not interchangeable. Local attraction and village access is by the road and visitor routes confirmed for your dates.
Your proposal should list each road stage, the actual overnight base and any scenic-area transport. Drive times depend on the route and conditions, so avoid adding a tight flight or rail connection after a remote visit.
When to travel
Summer offers a cooler plateau setting, while winter is cold and exposed. Mountain stages need flexibility for mist, rain and changing road conditions.
Stays and meals
This 9-day plan allows for 8 overnight stays: Qiaojia (2 nights); Suijiang (3 nights); Zaxi (3 nights). These are suggested bases, subject to the agreed route and property availability.
Choose your preferred accommodation style and room configuration before a quotation is prepared. Breakfasts, other meals and dietary requests are itemised, with time for local food where it fits the day.
What your quotation covers
Ask for an itemised quotation covering the guide, agreed transfers, admission tickets, scenic-area transport, accommodation and meals you want included. A suggested experience is confirmed only when it appears in the final proposal.
International and onward travel, optional activities, personal purchases and unlisted meals are additional unless expressly included. Your dates, group size, room choices and service level determine the quotation; no fixed package price is implied.
Useful to know before you go
- Qiaojia: Use approved public viewpoints; hydropower facilities and operational areas are controlled.
- Suijiang: Water recreation depends on licensed operators and current river conditions.
- Weixin: Museum opening and memorial access need checking, especially around closure days.
- Zaxi Ancient Town: Check individual memorial opening arrangements and visit with respect for the historical setting.
